O! How quick he landed
On the
Strong,
Lonely winter tree
Allowing,
Loving
Caressing the winds from
Mothers breathe.
Watching
As she
Blows him this and brings him that.
How nice of her
To allow it to be
That
A bird can sit upon a tree
And look
And rest
And wait
And be, and
How nice of her to let me see.
Why laugh?
by
Francis F Knight
Why laugh?
To put a pain in your side
A tear in your eye
Skip a beat in your heart
Or to see your lover cry
Why laugh?
To ease the hardened
Hearts around you
To be happy for a time
You know
To laugh for a while
Is most certainly
Good for the mind
Why laugh?
Why?
When you laugh you
Lighten your load for a while
When you laugh you
Love the world for a while
When you laugh you see
People smile for a while and
When you laugh they
Smile with you for a while
